CityBot Update February 2026

By Riya Reddy1 min read

This month, I continued working with Catholic Charities of Denver to refine the litter cleanup pilot using reports submitted through the CityBot app. We talked through the logistics in more detail. When a citizen uploads a photo of litter, the app tags the location and notifies the correct city department. We are currently developing a feature that allows approved cleanup teams to “claim” specific grid areas so there is clear accountability and no overlap between teams. After a grid is cleaned, the team will upload completion photos in the app, which will then notify the city of which locations have been cleaned up. In parallel, I am also working to schedule meetings with the mayors of cities such as Broomfield, Thornton, and Westminster to better coordinate any infrastructure issues uploaded in the CityBot app.
